Strathcona Wilderness 1 Traditional Cache

This is the first geocache placed in Alberta (2nd in Canada) and has an interesting history. Read the first 4 log entries for more information.

Notes:

• No dogs allowed in the wilderness area
• For winter time access, please don't walk on the cross-country ski tracks.

For more information about the Strathcona Wilderness area including hours of operation (the gate gets locked at 4:30 most days), see here. From the lodge, it is a 15-20 minute walk to the cache area.

You can take wildlife trails right to the location.
