For all the newbies and those who don't watch the Event Cache page, the "HIDDEN" date listed above is the date of the event! This makes it show up on the calendar correctly.
Saturday the 8th update
It just gets better and better! Wayne suggested that we collect cache fodder for a new cache, to be placed in the new Williamson County Regional Park (No, Tony, I won't steal your thunder! You can hide yours first.). So, if you would like to contribute some cache fodder to the new cache, please bring it and I'll have a container available.
Friday the 7th update
We still have room, so don't be shy; if you want to come throw your name(s) in the hat! Oh, and as for my brainstorm -- if anyone has something fun (gift certificate? geo gear? cache container?) to donate for a door prize for the night cache, please email me and let me know what it is. Thanks!
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 2-6-03
I had a brainstorm ("OH NO, she's THINKING again!!") and I'm planning a little "night cache," weather permitting, for a greenbelt area just north of the restaurant. You can walk off that queso, and maybe win something neat and fun! Coords and rules will be revealed at the event.
Tentative plan is to meet at 6:30 for dinner at Wayne's, Trey's, and my favorite Mexican Restaurant. Around 7:15 or 7:30, we will have a speaker from Travis County talk about geocaching in their parks, and the whys and wherefores of their rules. As usual, there will be plenty of time for swapping stories and talking cache strategy. There is a room that will accommodate about 40 people and will give us a quiet venue for a speaker.
I have placed a $100 non-refundable deposit which is applied to the bill, so don't you guys back out now! [;)] We still have room for a few more people, and a few familiar names are missing from the list, so please sign up! If you have questions about the menu, please ask ... we are intimately familiar with it!
