This is an anywhere cache and can be done by all.
Inukshuk's are ancient symbols of Inuit culture traditionally used as landmarks and navigation aids. The Inukshuk that inspired this cache is in Vancouver B.C. Canada. Constructed originally by Alvin Kanak of Rankin Inlet, this monument was commissioned by the Government of the Northwest Territories for its pavilion at Expo 86, and given to the City of Vancouver.
Your job is to find one like the Vancouver Inukshuk from around the world or some other type of ancient nav aid. Each Inukshuk can be logged only once and each cacher/team can only make one log. You must upload a picture of the Inukshuk you find with your GPSr and yourself if you wish in the photo. A picture of a plaque would be great as well. Please include other information like coordinates, city, province/state, country and info about the Inukshuk. Tell everyone about the find as well. No internet downloads please. I have had a few complaints from some virtual cachers regarding some of the finds. They feel that past finds are not in keeping with the rules on this page,so lets make them HAPPY. *****SO THIS MEANS NO INUKSHUKS/NAV AIDS THAT LOOK LIKE THE ONES FOUND IN GARDEN CENTRES OR ONES FOUND ON THE BEACH THAT ARE MADE BY SOME ART DUDE WILL BE ACCEPTED. FROM THIS MOMENT ON. REFER TO THE REVISED DATE BELOW.***** Remember lets try and make the virtual cache complainers HAPPY, because thats what caching is all about.
