This week we have brought it back a little closer to home as our correspondent reports in from the Southern California area.
“On our way to hide the cache for Mission #5 we discovered that a black stealth helicopter had been following our team. Realizing the operation may have been compromised we nearly aborted the mission altogether. However, our team of four would not be deterred. We each quickly commandeered a different type of transport and headed in opposite directions by land, sea and air. After two days of travel each of us changed vehicles one more time assuring that the helicopter could not follow us.
The real cache is hidden well off of a clearly marked trail. Depending on how far you drive up the mountain the hike varies from 1 to 3 miles. No matter where you start it is a challenging hike with narrow trails where one misstep could send you sprawling down a sharp drop. As you hike through watch out for the Bear Cave, although there were none at home when I was there they could come home at any time. Also keep your eye out for rattlesnakes, as they are common in this area. Good luck and watch your back.”
