PEACE ARCH
I have been here many times over the years, being a Bellingham native. Since moving some years back, I realize how much I miss the beauty of the NW. So over the holidays I decided that this would be a great virtual cache. The history of the park is impressive and with the state of the world today, it seems more important then ever to have, and understand our past relationship with our neighbors.
For those who loath a history lesson I will not bore you with the details. Below are a couple of links for those who are curious.

You can access the park from parking on either side of the border (Trouble? See the links above). Spend some time and enjoy this beautiful place.
To receive credit for the cache you must do two things.
1) Take a picture of you and your GPS at or near the arch (many nice places around to take a photo).
2) The coordinates will take you to this place, then you must email me the answer to this question, “What was signed, by whom and when?”
Good luck and let the games begin!
Please DO NOT take a picture of this area of the question and post it. Also, DO NOT put any answers (even if encrypted) in the logs. Any problems with the coordinates see the clue. I hope you enjoy this cache and your stay at the park!
