This is such a lovely park that I just had to hide a cache there to get you all to go and check it out. You may have seen the bluffs there as you drove along I90/94 near Camp Douglas. Please be aware that this is a state park, so the usual fees apply for parking. When getting permission from the park service to place this cache, they asked me to inform everyone that climbing up the bluffs themselves is not allowed and would subject you to a fine, as they are sandstone and quite vulnerable (and unsafe!). This is a small cache. I planted a Tupperware sandwich container with a few goodies, including a Rainforest compass/thermometer key fob, a small bungie cord for packs, an old Kennedy half dollar, a bottle of StingEze (just in case there really ARE bees on the bluff), and the log with two pens and a pencil. Good Luck! ~Yawningdog
As of 08/24/02, the cache container is in it's intended hiding spot again. PLEASE put it back where you find it, if you hunt this cache. PLEASE don't add stuff that won't fit in the Tupperware container. The Ziplock baggy is only intended to protect the cache, not hold items that won't fit in it. If you add items to the bag then the container won't fit into it's hiding spot. Please don't make our cache easier to find or add items that don't fit in the container. Thanks, in advance, and happy hunting!
