Geocache Description:

Cache is hidden at the Pine Creek Area, a Buchanan County Wildlife area. This park is undeveloped. It includes an upper timber area and a boggy bottomland. Sturdy shoes, long pants and long sleeves are recommended. This area is most enjoyable in early spring, fall or winter. Beware of poison ivy and mosquitos in the summer.

Pine Creek area is between Independence and Quasqueton. Turn south off the Quasqueton Diagonal Blvd onto Parish Avenue, then follow your GPS signal. (If it is muddy, do not drive all the way to the turn-around.)

The land for this park was originally donated to the Girl Scout organization and is known to locals as the "Girl Scout Camp". The camp was never developed and the land was eventually donated to Buchanan county.

This is a multi-cache, with a choice of difficult or more moderate terrain after the first find. The total distance for all caches is less than 1 mile. The first cache is in a fruitcake tin. From there you will find coordinates for 2 other caches.
