Kätkö Lahdessa Ristolan kivikautisella asuinpaikalla. A cache in
Lahti in the Stone Age dwelling place of Ristola.
Lahdessa Porvoonjoen varrella sijaitsee Ristola, yksi Suomen
vanhimmista kivikautisista asuinpaikoista.
Vanhimmat asumisen merkit alueella ovat 9000 vuoden takaa. Tuolloin
merenpinta oli huomattavasti nykyistä korkeammalla, ja paikalla
sijaitsi joen sijasta merenlahti. Kivikautiset asuinpaikat
sijaitsivatkin yleensä aivan veden äärellä.
Alueelta on kaivettu yli 30 000 esinettä, josta suurin osa
kvartsiesineitä.
Maan pinnalla muinaisasutuksesta ei ole merkkejä, mutta polkuja
pitkin voi tutustua Porvoonjoen rantoihin. Alue on myös
perinnemaisema, jota huoltavat lampaat. Ainakin tämänkesäiset
lampaat ovat hyvin ystävällisiä ja keskustelua bää-kielelläkin voi
saada aikaan.
Jos lampaita ei ole näkyvissä, kannattaa määkiä kysyvästi, ja
jostain pusikosta saattaa piankin kuuluua vastaus. Näin minäkin
lampaisiin ensi kerran sain yhteyden.
In Lahti along Porvoonjoki river lies Ristola, one of the oldest
Stone Age dwelling places in Finland.
The oldest signs of dwelling date back 9000 years. In those times
the sea level was considerably higher than today, and on the place
was a sea bay instead of a river. On the shore was a typical place
for Stone Age villages to lie.
In archaeological excavations have been found over 30 000 objects,
most of which are quartz objects.
There are no signs of ancient living visible today, but you can
walk along the banks of the river along numerous paths. The area is
also a traditional agricultural view, which is being maintainted by
sheep. At least the sheep of this summer are very friendly, and you
can even discuss with them in baa language.
If you can't see the sheep immediately, cry out a loud "baa", and
probably they'll answer soon and tell their location. This is how I
too found the sheep on the first visit.
Tämä kätkö ei jää talvella lumen alle, mutta hangessa voi joutua
tarpomaan. This cache won't be covered by snow in the winter,
however you'll probably have to walk in snow.
