 In Altjeßnitz liegt der älteste
noch erhaltene barocke Irrgarten Deutschlands. Er und der
Park, in dem er sich befindet, stehen unter
Denkmalschutz.
Der Irrgarten selbst füllt ein Quadrat von ca. 2600 m2 aus. Die
Buchenhecken, die das verschlungene Labyrinth bilden, sind ungefähr
zwei Meter hoch.
Der Eingang des Irrgartens ist auch sein Ausgang, das Ziel ist das
Zentrum. Im Zentrum befindet sich eine erhöht gelegene
Aussichtsplattform, von der aus man den gesamten Garten überblicken
kann. Die Aufgabe für den Besucher des Irrgartens besteht darin,
einen Weg vom Eingang zum Zentrum und von dort wieder zurück zum
Ausgang zu finden -- möglichst ohne sich zu verirren.
Obwohl der kürzeste Weg vom Eingang zum Zentrum nur knapp 400 m
lang ist und man auf ihm das Ziel in ca. 6 Minuten erreicht, kommt
es vor, dass Besucher mehrere Stunden im Garten umherirren, was --
vor allem, wenn man als Gruppe unterwegs ist -- irre Spaß macht!

At Altjeßnitz you will find Germany's oldest baroque maze still
preserved. Both, the maze and the park surrounding it have been
declared listed areas by German Heritage.
The maze alone covers an area of about 2600 m2. Its beech-hedges
have a height of circa 2 m.
The maze's entrance is also its exit. The goal is its centre where
you will find a lookout platform from where you have a good
overview over the whole garden. It's the visitors task to find
their way from entrance to centre and back - and not to get lost,
if possible.
Although the shortest way from the entrance to the centre is just
about 400 m long and will take only an about 6 min. walk to the
centre it does happen that visitors are straying for hours in
between the hedges. This is a lot of fun - particularly if you do
it as a group!

Aufgabenstellung: Um diesen Cache loggen zu dürfen, musst
du von deiner Odyssee durch das Labyrinth ein Bild des
Tracklogs anhängen. Am besten auch ein Foto, auf dem man sieht,
dass du auf der Aussichtsplattform stehst.
Bemerkungen:
- Der Irrgarten ist in der Zeit vom 2. Wochenende im März bis 31.
Oktober des Jahres geöffnet. Montag bis Freitag von 9.00 - 20.00
Uhr, Samstag, Sonntag und Feiertage von 10.00 - 20.00 Uhr letzter
Einlass jeweils 18.00 Uhr.
- Die Gemeinde Altjeßnitz verlangt für die Pflege des Gartens 1,5
Euro Eintritt.

- Bitte folgt nicht dem Beispiel manch eines Gastes und
verzichtet darauf, euch einen Weg durch die Hecken hindurch zu
bahnen (Zerstörung der Hecken).
- Am besten das GPS-Gerät so einstellen, dass jede Sekunde ein
Trackpunkt aufgezeichnet wird. Dann gib's genug
Punkte... |
Task: If you want to log this cache you will have to attach
a picture of the tracklog of your odyssey through the maze.
An additional picture of yourself standing on the platform in the
centre would be very much appreciated!
Notes:
- The maze is open from middle of March throughout end of October,
9 am (weekends and holidays 10 am) - 8 pm. Last entry: 6 pm.
- The Municipality of Altjeßitz asks 1,5 EUR admission for keeping
the grounds.
- Please consult http://www.irrgarten-altjessnitz.de for actual
access times and fees.
- Please do not follow the example of some other visitors
who cleaved their way through the hedges and damaged them. Infact
today there is a lot of wire in the hedges to prevent further
damage.
- It will be best to adjust the GPS to logging a trackpoint per
second. Then you will have enough
points. |
