Geocache Description:

Take a nice drive into the Coburg Hills and see some great views!

Part 1: Start at the coordinates listed above. Once you reach this point, determine the year that the survey was completed. NOTE: The * symbol represents multiplication.

Year of the survey = ABBC

Part 2: Continue along this road until you get to the second set of coordinates.

Second set of coodinates:

  • N 44 09.3DE
  • Where DE = [B*B + 2C -3A]/2
  • W 122 57.3FG
  • Where FG = 2(D + E)

Once you arrive at the coordinates, you will see a very small sign reading:

WX-Y-YZ

Part 3: Continue up the road that this sign is marking. Notice the nice views of the Mohawk Valley on the way up.

Third set of coordinates:

  • N 44 07.7JK
  • Where JK = Z * Z
  • W 122 59.15L
  • Where L = Z - W

Once you get all of these nutty calculations done (don't forget to use the order of operations...yep, Poke Along used to be a math teacher), you should arrive at the cache. Parking is easy. When you approach the cache, there is a nice little clearing, providing a nice strong signal. Be sure to check out the view of the Willamette Valley when you are up on top!

The cache itself is a standard ammo can; please rehide well!
