Yes!! There is an Old Man of the Valley it's not a joke about the The Old Man of the Mountains. Just visit this cache and see for yourself.
The cache is located just off Rt 2 very near the ME/NH state line in Shelburne,NH. There is a parking area just East of the path. My grandmother was born in 1892 nearby at the old Stock Farm. She showed me this about 50 yrs ago. She always called it the "Indian Head" and claimed an old indian trail passed through here. Her father ran the Stock Farm and sometimes spent weeks on fire watch, up at the fire tower on Mt. Moriah.Very few people ever notice this spot even though there is a sign for the path.Enjoy your visit and bring bug spray in the summer.The cache is an ammo box and contains a logbook, assorted items for all ages and a camera to take pics of finders. This cache would be a good spot to exchange TB's and I am including one to start off.
