A historical place surely worth a visit is Lödöse, the predecessor to Göteborg. Quite close to the cache you have a magnificent view over Lödöse and the Göta Älv Glen.
My suggestion is that plan your visit to Lödöse and that you take your time when you are in this area, because here is a lot to be seen and experienced.
For instance take the Archaeological Museum in Lödöse, a fantastic museum you must not miss, that shows a lot from the Medieval Lödöse. Be sure to check out the opening hours in your planning.
More information about the Archaeological Museum can you get under Lödöse Museum but sadly enough only in Swedish, so give them a call for English information.
The cache is a 0,47 litre transparent Lock&Lock food container
and had the following content from start:
- Log book
- Pencil
- A picture of my Smashing GeoCaching Dogs (the SGCD). (NB, not a trading object! If you want a picture of the SGCD send me an e-mail and I will send you a picture!)
- One Dutch 1 guilder coin
- One small functional FM-radio
- One “I love baseball” pin
- One 2004 Almanac
Last but not least,
if you visit the cache on a fine day, be sure to bring your camera and your picnic-basket!
