This is the 2nd of our caches which take you to visit a couple of churches and chapels of Espoo.
This cache takes you to the Chapel of Otaniemi. It has been designed by architects Heikki and Kaija Siren. It was originally built between 1956 and 1957. It burned down in 1976 but was rebuilt soon after, latest renovation of the Chapel took place in 2007. The chapel is very well known amongst the architects around the world and attracts numerous visitors every year.
Please don't cross the fence since it is not needed when entering the cache site.
Finding the cache will be a bit harder in the winter, but not impossible.
Tämä kätkö vie sinut tutustumaan Otaniemen kappeliin. Kappelin ovat suunnitelleet arkkitehdit Heikki ja Kaija Siren. Se rakennettiin alunperin 1956-1957. Se kuitenkin paloi vuonna 1976, mutta rakennettiin pian uudelleen ja on viimeksi remontoitu vuonna 2007. Arkkitehdit ympäri maailman tuntevat kappelin hyvin ja siellä käykin vuosittain paljon vierailijoita.
