Spirit of the Pioneers Mystery Cache

The coordinates above are NOT the location of the cache, but merely a reference point for the general area of Des Moines where it is located. The exact coordinates can be found in the puzzle below.
NOTE: There is plenty of public parking available about 0.12 miles southeast of the cache coordinates -- approaching this from the northwest might lead you into more difficult terrain and the potential for crossing over private property.

This cache is hidden in an area that many Des Moines residents may not be familiar with. The walk from the parking to the cache slopes gently and is only about a tenth of a mile.

The contents of the cache are basic, since this is my first cache and I want very much to do this following all the rules. It is a blue-lidded, rectangular Rubbermaid container. Original contents: a set of dice, a mini-puzzle, a mini-8-ball, a mini-highlighter, a small gold photo frame, and a small travel checkers game.
