BBD's first hide, located in the Veteran’s Park in Genoa Ohio. Sidewalk and gravel trails take you to within ten feet of the cache, a camo-lidded clear peanut butter jar, chock full o' goodies. Please re-hide well, kid muggles frequent the woods!
Small town parks like these typically have ball fields, tennis courts, shelters, a skateboard park, and a playground. In this park we were surprised to find some short trails around the Genoa Quarry, which is open to swimmers in the summer and is stocked with at least bluegill, according to the folks who were fishing (you need a Genoa Fishing Permit to fish here). On our short walk on the trail, we spotted a duck and other birds, but it really is a small woods.
This cache was placed in honor of "RonStoppable" when he was a three year old member of Team Hydnckr (and excellent CITO-er). When we would cache with Hydnckr and RonStoppable he'd love to use the swings and slide at parks like these.
** Update (10/5/06): Cache has been moved to a more secure and secluded area of the park. Replaced Ammo can with paintball tube.
** Update (08/29/07): Cache has been moved again since it was muggled. The last cache disappeared from its tough to get to location, so this one is placed much closer to the trail since the muggles run rampant everywhere.
** Update (03/10/10): Missing again. Replaced with PB jar.
