What is this Event:

This is your chance to prepare a cache to hide for other’s to seek.We want you to bring your Best of the Best Cache to hide for the weekend. These caches will be judged on Creativity, Originality, Durability, Uniqueness, Difficulty etc…During the event these caches will not be for trading. We do encourage you to hide them, at another location, after the event is over.

You will have from Friday September 24 thur Saturday September 25 until 11:00 a.m. to hide your cache. We will need the coordinates of your cache, no later than 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, to be added to the tally sheet and for downloading purposes.

Due to the Vast Popularity of the Hide and Seek Event, We have had to makes some changes. We are asking that everyone Pre-Register their cache for the Hide and Seek Event. This will consist of:

The Name of the Cache
Caching Team Name
Real Name
Address and E-mail Address
Cache Identification

We are asking that this be sent on a separate piece of paper. We are also asking for 3 copies of the Cache Page Write-Up. The copies will be put into 3 Notebooks for viewing purposes. Remember the Cache Page Write-Up is a big part of geocaching. You can download a sheet to use here.

We are also limiting the number each team can hide. Only 1 Hide Pre-Team will be allowed. What is a Team? A Team Is:

Husband and Wife, Parent and Child (Families),
Significant Other’s (those Living together),
If you cache as Individual you are an Individual

However, if your Significant Other/ Spouse/ etc… joins you, the two of you become a team. This will not include Family member’s who live outside the state or at a different address.

This is an Event where Safety is a matter of concern. Robber’s Cave State Park Consists of a wide range of terrain, Please be aware of this. Children are welcome and are encouraged to join in this event, but we ask that they be under Adult Supervision at all times.

If you want Feedback about your cache, you will need to provide a Feedback Log Book for those to rate your cache. Click here for a copy of it.This will be part of your Responsibility.

We have received feedback about the Sticker’s that have been used in the past. We have decided to use either Sticker’s or a Stamp/ Ink Pad, in which you will provide, to be used on the tally sheet . The Sticker’s or Stamp also need to be included on the Registration, so we will know which item identifies your cache.
