Kätkö oli aikanaan Suomen mantereen eteläisimmässä kohdassa ennen uuden luontopolun avaamista. Hankoniemen kärki on aidattu alue ja sen sisällä toimii mm. autojen maahantuontiyrityksiä, lintujen rengastusasema ja merivartiosto.
Lähimmältä mahdolliselta pysäköintipaikalta on noin 1.3 kilometrin kävelymatka kätkölle. Aidatulle alueelle ei tarvitse mennä löytääkseen kätkön.
Lähistöllä matala vaijeriaita ympäröi alueita joilla kasvaa harvinaisia kasveja. Ethän mene näille alueille.
Lumi vaikeuttaa kätkön etsimistä.
The cache was located at the southmost point of Finland's mainland before the new nature path was opened. The cape of Hanko is in use of e.g. car import companies, marking station of birds and coastguard.
From the closest parking place, there is about 1.3 kilometers to walk to the cache. There is no need to go to the other side of the fence to find the cache.
A low cable fence nearby marks areas with some rare vegetation. Please, do not walk on these areas.
Snow makes it hard to find the cache.
