Overton Park Magnetic Wood!? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

stevespencer824: Alright, enough is enough! This is one of my more active caches, and I still like the hide technique, I think I may revive it elsewhere, but it is clear that this is not the place for it. Removing this family friendly hide to a more family friendly hiding place! Thanks to all who hunted it and had nice things to say!

Geocache Description:

Magnetic Trees?

This was the second in a short series of tougher caches to celebrate my 100th find. This one is not that tough if you figure out the hide technique, but I've never seen this technique before, hopefully no one else around here has either! The cache fills a void in the Memphis map, can't believe one of Memphis' largest parks had no caches! STEALTH IS IMPORTANT FOR THIS CACHE! If you don't rehide it properly, it can be seen from 30 feet away! Please take care to re-hide it with the same care you would want your cache to receive! It does not require a great deal of force to remove the container. Pulling hard and/or twisting will damage the hide technique. If you have more than the container in your hand when you retrieve it, IT'S BROKE! Please say so in your log so I can fix it! I promise I won't fuss at you for breaking it, but I can't fix it if I don't know about it! Also, the walking path is sometimes quite active, so try not to be too obvious. Usually, if you look like you are taking a break or tying your shoes or something, you should be fine. You could probably do this one at lunch, but you might get your shoes dirty, and maybe a few cockle burrs, too. Best place to park is on the road behind the golf course clubhouse. If you're a hacker like I am, this little nine hole course is a nice, easy, inexpensive place to squeeze in a quick round! As I said, it is a magnetic micro. Again, PLEASE RE-HIDE CAREFULLY! Be careful not to pinch your fingers, too! :^) Wouldn't recommend hanging around the park at night, though. Besides, low light conditions could make this one a lot more difficult!
