Geocache Description:

********ATTENTION**********ATTENTION************ATTENTION*****************

Attributes on cache page indicate this IS NOT a 24/7 cache.  Please try to do during daylight hours (dawn to dusk) for respect of the preserve and your safety.   This area is an old quarrying area with lots of little rock mounds and divots, and we don't want anyone getting hurt.  We want folks to respect the preserve owners BTLT (Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust) and the Highlands.  Night time activity could and does look suspicious in today's world.

Parking located at N43* 57.084 / W069* 56.838

A map of the trails can be found here:  http://creamaine.org/files/docs/trailmap.pdf

One of the first caches at the Cathance River Nature Preserve in Highland Green, on the Barnes Leap Trail.

This is a Signature Item cache / Regular Cache, so feel free to leave a couple of your signature items for trade. We have left numerous Team Teebow Signature Items and regular items for trade. The cache is located on the Barnes Leap Trail (Red trail). Cache is regular screw-top Rubbermaid container.

This area is a wonderful place and full of trails. It is open to the public and has some beautiful scenic spots for you to enjoy. This is a private retirement community with the Cathance Nature Preserve belonging to the public so please respect the area and the Highlands community.

This place is a gem not just for the trails but for rock hounding and seeing natures wildlife. Most of the trails are old 4 wheeler trails winding around the old Topsham quarries so there are lots of areas to explore.

Bring a lunch and your camera, and maybe your fishing pole and try your luck fishing the river, we feel it is worth the trip.
