This cache is located in Morgan Creek Park. Park in the Aboretum parking lot.
There is a story behind this cache. On our 30th wedding anniversary, I told my wife that a co-worker had hidden his first cache and that he wanted us to be the first to find it. Actually, it was my first attempt at hiding a cache and I had placed a tanzanite and diamond ring in it for my wife to find. Our daughter, Tara, kept guard hiding behind a tree a short distance away. Upon seeing the ring my wife exclaimed "What a great first to find reward!"The cache is in an ammo box. The walk there should be fairly easy. You do NOT have to go through heavy brush or jump down hills to get to it.
In June and July be very careful of wild parsnip. It's a yellow plant that can cause burns. It is becoming very prevalent in Iowa.
