Tampellan asuinalue on nimetty yrityksen mukaan, jonka historia
ulottuu vuoteen 1842. Tampellan alue oli nimeltään Naistenlahti
vuoteen 2002 saakka. 1970-luvulla Tampella oli menestyvä yritys,
joka työllisti yli 13.000 henkeä. 1990-luvulla Tampellan toiminta
alueella loppui. Nykyisin Tampellassa asuu yli 3000 asukasta ja

Nyt olet ison Tampellassa rakennetun metallituotteen edessä. Edessä
on metallinen laatta. Ota ylös numero laatasta.

Nyt näet traagisen onnettomuuden muistokiven. Katso laattaa kivessä
ja ota selvää, minä vuonna onnettomuus tapahtui (numero C) ja minä
vuonna monumentti pystytettiin tänne (numero D).

Tampella residential area is named after a company history of
which dates back to 1842. Tampella area was named Naistenlahti
until year 2002. In the 1970's Tampella was a successful company
employing over 13.000 persons. In the 1990's the manufacturing was
ended in the area. Today there are over 3000 people living in the
area and the number is still growing as new residential buildings
are built in the area. You can read more about Tampella and its

If you have time visit the different museums in Vapriikki and learn
more about the history of Tampere and Tampella
Point 1.
The given coordinates will take you near an old gate. You see some
couplings for fire brigade use under the gate. Count the number of
them, this is A. Under the gate you can see tall metal poles, count
them. That is B.
The coordinates of the next point are:

Point 2.
Now you are in front of a big metal product once made in Tampella.
There's a metal plate in front of it. Write down the number in the
plate.
The coordinates of the next point are:
N 61.30.xxx, where xxx = number in plate - 95
E 23.45.yyy, where yyy = 2 * number in plate - 107
Point 3.
Now you should see a stone monument of a tragic accident. See the
plate and find out what year this accident happened (number C).
Also, find out what year this monument was placed here (number
D).

Please be careful not to reveal this cache to
non-geocachers!
Watch where you park your car since there aren't many legal
parking spaces in the area. You may get a parking ticket
easily!
When taking out the container be careful to avoid loosing the
contents of it!
