Mead Park is a beautiful forty-eight acre park located in the City of Corry. See the web page listed above.
The park features:
playgrounds with unique attractions,
Alice Lake with stocked fish and resident ducks.
A modern Little League baseball field,
Corry Historical Museum (open Saturday's and
Sunday’s 2:00 to 4:00),
lighted tennis courts,
basket ball court,
numerous picnic pavilions, some with grills,
electric, and water.
Free public ice skating in the winter.
Spring community Easter egg hunt.
Community fishing contest for kids.
Summer antique car show.
Why not bring the family for a fun afternoon of geocaching and enjoying a terrific park, don’t forget the picnic basket. There is no charge to use the park.
Park your vehicle in the parking lot near the main entrance and proceed on foot. In the winter you can still park in the main park but there isn’t any vehicle access to the back portion of the park, you can walk in.
All coordinates were averaged on 500 readings with WAAS enabled. Due to the dense evergreen trees in the park you may have difficulty with accuracy. All locations are near park roads and I recommend you stay on the roads since the wooded area in the center of the park is muddy year round. The entire loop is only .55 miles. Although you shouldn't need them, I didn’t want any children to be disappointed with a no find so the hints listed are very helpful.
Mead Park, soon to be one of your favorite family parks.
