This little known trail was used quite frequently many years ago as a main route between the two extreme altitudes of the town. Now it provides a beautiful view of the town of Guttenberg (home of the Clayton Ridge Eagles) and the Mississippi River that many never get to see. The name “Buechel” is German and is pronounced “beakle”, like “beagle” with a “k”.
Turn west on Herder street. Street parking is available at the following coordinates to get you near the start of the trail: N42°46.905’ W91°06.178’ (Believe me, you'll be sorry if you don't start near these coordinates.)
Container is now just a camouflaged plastic pill bottle with only a logsheet due to repeated muggling of the original full-size container. Please return the container to its hiding place with its natural camouflage to help hide it from other muggles.
The Great River Road Passage series: The GRRP is a series of caches placed along the scenic Great River Road from Dubuque to Marquette, Iowa. They have been named as “GRRP1…”, “GRRP2…”, etc. (to view all of them, click here or search by keyword “GRRP” on the www.geocaching.com/seek/ webpage). Each of the GRRP caches can be logged as a separate find and may be found in any order.
