Geocache Description:

Proud member of the MAGC:

This is a plastic butter keeper. Easy drive by cache. The theme of the cacheis "experiencing the prairie". After you find the cache take few minutes and view the plants and animals native to the prairie as you travel along the road to the Western Historic Trails Center. The WHTC interprets the Lewis & Clark, Mormon Pioneer, California and Oregon Trails and is FREE! Stop in and visit with the museum guides and look at the exhibits. Follow the path from the Trails Center and visit the pond. Look for deer, great blue herons, wild turkey, beaver, bald eagles, turkey vultures and other wildlife. Then walk on down the path to a lookout on the Missouri River where Lewis & Clark traveled 200 years ago. There are two other caches on the grounds as well.
