Geocache Description:

We live surrounded by ghosts.

Long ago, these were wild lands with wild peoples. Then one day the world shrank and explorers came. They pressed at the edges, searching for fame or land or money or, rarely, knowledge. Those first adventurers were strong and desperate. Here they came looking for silver, silver that the Maya believed was the tears of the moon, fallen to earth. What they found instead was real tears, suffering and death.

Once of the curious was Isabelle de Corazon Tereso. Her expeditions to the New World have been unknown until modern times, her journals only recently coming to light. The pages paint lurid tales of adventure and conquest, blood and money. They are reproduced here for your possible benefit. As far as we know their events transpired among us, in a world we can only imagine, leaving ghosts to watch over any secrets that might have been left behind...
