Besides being the highest Alpine ski centre in Slovenia, where it is possible to enjoy a variety of winter sports. May, Kanin’s karstic mountain scenery is also very attractive during the summer months. The cable car from Dvor (1km southwest of Bovec) reaches the ski centre resort (station D, 2200 m) in 30 minutes, from there one can explore the area along the well marked tracks. The karstic plateau below Mt. Kanin (2587m) and the surrounding peaks are noted as one of the most important speleological regions in Slovenia. Of immense interest to cave explorers, its numerous caves and abysses are some of the deepest and most extensive int he whole world. Should you wish to fly over this magnificent landscape, it is possible to paraglide from the Kanin down into the valley below. Meamnwhile cyclist can take their bikes up to station B of the cable car and cycle back down int o the valley.
The cache is on the Mt. Prestreljenik-2249 m. You should follow the circle red. You musn’t go off the footpath!
