This is a small hide at Lapham Peak state park. There is a fee for entry. Drive halfway up to the tower and park at Homestead Hollow N43 02.384 W88 23.589. You will have a short walk to the cache through a cut grass trail behind the shelter. The cache is about 10 feet off the path so very little bushwhacking will be necessary. Please stay off the ski trails in the winter.
This cache is located near a pond which in the spring is brimming with tadpoles and in the summer is filled with frogs, frogs, and more frogs. We stopped at the water and caught 8 in less then 15 minutes. On the banks we found two big buckets and large minnow nets for capturing the little buggers. I suggest you bring your own nets upon your visit and remember to practice catch and release.
