"The cache has been moved to outside the fenced area and should be accessible."
You are looking for a small white container with a log sheet and a pencil inside.
Located in Thatcher Woods. Enter off of Chicago Ave. Dawn to Dusk. No bushwhacking required.
The coords will take you to a shelter constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
During the winter, the Cub Scout pack that I am affiliated with has an outing there 'The Klondike Derby'. The shelter is opened up and food and hot drinks are served.
Stop by on January 28, 2006 and take a look at the interior.
This is another in a series which will include many different structures.
The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a public works program that put over three million young men and adults to work during the Great Depression of the 1930's and 1940's in the United States.
"I propose to create a Civilian Conservation Corps to be used in simple work… more important, however, than the material gains will be the moral and spiritual value of such work." Franklin D. Roosevelt March 9, 1933.
