Rappenklammspitze
Die Rappenklammspitze (1835m) ist ein Berg im Karwendel, von dem man imposante Ausblicke hat. Der Startpunkt ist in Hinterriß. Von dort geht es auf einer Fahrstrasse das Rontal hinauf zur Rohntalalm. Bis hierher kann man auch gut das Mtb benutzen. Hier im Rohntalboden sieht man schon sein Ziel und kann die umstehenden hohen Berge bestaunen. Vor der Alm folgt man dem Weg, der das Bachbett überquert. Dann wird der Weg zum Bergpfad. Beim Aufstieg zum Sattel unterhalb der Rappenklammspitze kann man herrliche Ausblicke genießen. Im Sattel angekommen folgt der dritte Abschnitt. Ein etwas ausgesetzter Pfad führt zur Rappenklammspitze. Die letzten Meter sind leichte Kletterei.
Der Cache ist im Sattel plaziert (1688m), damit auch diejenigen logen können, die sich das letzte Stück nicht zutrauen, Als Alternative kann man auch auf den leichten Hochalplkopf gehen, von wo man auch eine herrliche Aussicht hat. Der Cache ist eine Beachbox (10cm * 3cm) und ist so angebracht, daß er auch im Winter gelogt werden kann. Diese Tour kann auch als Skitour gemacht werden. Von Hinterriß bis zur Rappenklmmspitze sind es 900Hm und man braucht ca. 2 1/2 Stunden (haben wir mit Kinderwagen und Tragesack gebraucht) .
Ich habe den Cache Rappenklammspitze genannt, weil er unter dem Namen bekannt ist. In den Karten ist der Berg aber als Rappenspitze eingetragen!! Der Cache ist nicht weit vom Weg und hängt in einem Baum

7.1.2006: Ich habe den Cache von Micro in einen regular Cache geändert. Da der Satterl auch für Kinder gut zu machen ist als kleiner Anreiz.

The Rappenklammspitze (1835m) is a mountain in the Karwendel, from where you can have impressive views. The starting point is in Hinterriss. From there follow the signs to the Rohntal up to the Rohntalalm. Upto here it is possible to use a mountain bike. Here in the Rohntalboden you can already see the Rappenspitze and can gaze the surrounding high mountains. Before the Alm follow the way, which crosses the creek bed. Then the way to the mountain becomes a path. With the ascent to the saddle underneath the Rappenspitze you can enjoy wonderful views. Arrived in the saddle the third part follows. A somewhat exposed path leads to the Rappenklammspitze. The last meters are easy climbing.
The Cache is placed in the saddle (1688m), so the cacher which are not capable to make the last part are able to log this cache. A alternative is the easy nearby Hochalplkopf from where you have a wonderful view too. The Cache is a Beachbox (10cm * 3cm) and is in this way attached that it can be loged in winter too. This route can be done as ski route.
From Hinterriss to the Rappenklammspitze you have to make 900 meters in the high and you need approx.. 2 1/2 hours (we did it with buggy and baby carrier) .
The mountain is well know as Rappenklammspitze but in the maps the name is Rappenspitze (note there is another mountain Rappenspitze in the Karwendel)

7.1.2006: I have changed the cache type from Micro to regular size. As the saddle is easy to make for children this is perhaps an animation for them.
