Geocache Description:

Druid Ridge Cemetery is in the heart of Pikesville and contains many famous graves and memorials. Its duck pond is a very popular location to go and enjoy a few minutes withnature. The cemetery has 2 rather interesting memorials-the only one to this British monarch in the United States and a recently dedicated Band of Brothers memorial .

The first set of coordinates takes you to the British Royal memorial. From there you will get offset coordinates for the actual cache. The cache is an Altoids hockey puck-shaped container with room for a log sheet and a couple very small trinkets. (I currently have a small stone in it for weight but it can be removed when the cache fills up.

Once at the first memorial:

From the year in the line below the persons' name, take the middle 2 digits and add them to the listed Latitude.

From that same year, take the first 2 digits, double it and add it to the listed Longitude.

You will probably agree that the final location is quite interesting and a bit odd for a cemetery.

If you have the time, bring some bread (and if you have, your kids) and feed the ducks. 'Hacksta' used to have a cache at this cemetery but it has been archived.

Please remember to act dignified since this is still an active cemetery. BTW, the receptionist was more than willing to give us a copy of the most famous legend of the cemetery-Black Aggie. More information at: (visit link)
