Park at N52* 54.988 W003* 36.248. Go through the gate and keep to the hedge on the left hand side. Go over the stile in the corner and follow the fingerpost up the grass lane. Over the next stile, go up the field keeping close to the fence on your right and over the next stile. The grotto entrance is on the left, feel free to explore this interesting quarry site, but to find the cache there is no need to enter the grotto, just follow the path up and around the edge of the grotto.
The old quarry was worked many years ago to produce materials for buildings in the local area. The practice of leaving columns of rock as natural supports was frequently used in Welsh mines.
The original contents of the cache (in 2006) were:

Pack of Candles,
Walt Disney Toy,
Shell,
Bike Reflector,
Shower Gel,
Safety Snap Light
and Star Wars Phone Holder.
The cache is a regular plastic box in a camo bag and has room for lots of goodies and trackables. Please ensure cache lid is on tightly and the box itself is well hidden.
Care is needed when searching for the cache due to being on the edge of the quarry site, the grassy slopes and rocks can become slippy, especially when wet.
