Geocache Description:

As a thank you to the City of Waukesha for their support of Geocaching, The Tapps and AuntieNae invite you and your family to help clean up the city parks with this first C.I.T.O. event.

Waukesha currently has 45 city parks and if you have done the geocaches in the area, you have been to many. Please help us give back with this service project. Our volunteer efforts will help preserve the beauty of these outdoor spaces.

CHECK IN: Between 1:00-1:30 PM

LOCATION: E.B. Shurts Environmental Center
Geocachers will be asked in sign in using the City of Waukesha Recreation program form. (We are working on getting a link to download prior).

Our task list currently includes 12 parks so we would like to divide up sending groups to each of the locations.

CHECK BACK: Between 3:00-3:30 PM
The Tapps will be working on a series of temporary (possible new regular) caches in-conjunction with this event.

It is suggested that you bring work gloves to pick up trash.

Please post a "will attend" note below, indicate your group size, so we have an idea of how many geocachers will be joining us.

Special thanks to Parks Supervisor, Peter Traczek
and the Recreation Services Manager, Pat Grulke for allowing us to host this event.

  • Parkview

  • Phoenix Heights

  • Priedman

  • River Valley

  • Rivers Crossing

Updates as of Monday, April 17 We are watching the weather report and will post a note if we will need to reschedule due to expected bad weather. We are also working with Parks & Recreation to narrow down our parks to clean list. There could be a drawing or two for donated items. More to come ..
