Geocache Description:

Set in the rolling down land south of Overton. There you will find some Bowl Barrows one of which is caller Abra. Thus the reason for naming the cache, shame there is no barrow called cadabra though.

Suggested parking at the start of a bridle way at Lower Whiltehill Cottages. There is room for a couple of cars. Follow the track past the cottages then bear left, the footpath sign has been knocked over and is laying in the hedge. Stay on this track going past some sheep and a pig farm that will no doubt cause this cache to be a little smelly at times. As you continue along the footpath you will see the first barrow outlined in the field on your right. This outline was clear in the winter when the cache was set but we wonder on whether it will be visble in the summer. At the hedge turn right and continue up the path past the first barrow until you come to Abra Barrow. No fences need to be climbed as the cache can be retrieved from the footpath.
The whole the track has been repaved and is now buggy friendly, thanks to Dogastus for making me up date the information. Total time to the cache and back approximately 50 mins. Looking on the O.S maps there would appear to be many different ways to get to the cache site so you might find a quicker route. You are looking for a 35mm film canister with the green geocaching logo, good luck.
