Recommended parking coordinates are N 44 09.885 and W 088 17.032. If you pass an acorn seeding sign, you have chosen the shortest trail to the cache. An easy hike should bring you to a collection of beech trees. The cache is approximately 30 feet off the trail. You may be able to see a marker with the same number as the minutes in the longitude coodinates.
The round tin container is not camouflaged yet very well hidden amongst the natural surroundings. The original contents are fake fish, nautical items, a travel bug, log book and pencils. Mosquito repellent is recommended half of the year. A "Geocache Placement Permit" has been obtained from the Park Manager. Map Quest does not accurately depict the state park boundaries. The 2009 annual resident vehicle sticker costs $25. Residents over age 64 are only charged $10. It is a great bargain to visit the numerous Wisconsin State Parks and Forest all year long. Daily resident vehicle passes are $7.00.
