Located in an Independence City Park
This caches resides in a newly converted city park. This area once was home to many houses in a Wapsipinicon River floodplain. Several years ago after a rather destructive flood most of the houses in the area of the park were purchased by the federal government and were either moved or torn down.
The City has created a nice green space here with several picnic shelters, a bike and pedestrian path, an amphitheater for summer concerts, basketball and tennis courts, etc. The challenge to finding this cache is to not be spotted by muggles during the warm months as the cache is very close to the bike path. The cache is a waterproof match container and contains only a logbook and pencil. I left a little "green' for the FTF. Be sure to leave the cache well hidden as it may be spotted by anyone just walking past. Have fun!!
