This trail takes you by an airfield and if timed right you'll be
able to watch an ascending airplane!!
The starting coordinates (at top of page) will take you to a wooden
plaque in a small parking area. To move on to the second stage you
will need to solve the following puzzle in order to decipher the
coordinates...
a = What is the total number of letters in the first word of the
trail name minus the total number of letters in the third word of
the trail name?
b = In “A ____________ Millennium Trail”,
“____________” has how many letters?
c = What is the total number of signs (not maps) of equal size on
the entire signpost?
d = Of those signs in the previous question, what is the total
number of words on the sign to the furthest left?
f = How many things are not allowed (unauthorized) in the
refuge?
z = The trailhead is located on Highway ____, what is the first
digit in the highway number?
x = Continuing from the previous question, what is the second digit
in the highway number?
y = In “____________ Refuge”,
“____________” has how many letters?
v = In examining the signpost, what is the total number of words on
the line which starts with the words "OPEN TO"?
You will find the second stage of this multicache at the following
coordinates:
N fc° az.vcy W abz° xc.czd
At the second stage, you will need to find a small waterproof match
container that contains the coordinates to the third stage.
At the third stage, you will again need to find a waterproof match
container which contains the coordinates for the final cache.
Have fun! Please do not cross any fences. Each part of this cache
is within 50ft of the main trail, but they are (edit: "were" back
in 2006 ) tricky hides! The final cache is an ammo
box.
Please do
not cross the fence near the final as that is private
property.
