This is a cache located at a rest area along
I-65 northbound, near mile post 148. Since if you are searching
for this cache that you are heading north, I thought that I
would compile a list of reasons to go north. While optional, I
would like it if you listed a reason along with your find entry.
It can be anything, from the literal (e.g. to get a root
canal) to the comical (e.g. to dance with polar bears).
I'll go ahead and start the list...
- Visiting the Fortress of Solitude. (North, Miss
Teschmacher!)
- See the Canadian cops. (Mounties?) - [Saving
Shiloh]
- To go to work. (At the North Pole?)
-[cachebicyclingsanta]
- To get home from work. (Carpooling?) -
[mom&boys]
- Going home from business trip to Cincinnati. (Escape from
Ohio?) - [2 CBR]
- Going home from a Hamvention. (Hamvention??) - [Sergeant
Homer]
- Pillaging and plundering. (Ice-breakers?) - [Eye Of The
Pirate]
- To see Northern Lights. (The Little Dipper?) -
[oldtimers]
- Family reunion in Michigan. (The state or the lake?) -
[Web-ling & Miss Pumpkin]
- Going to a wedding rehearsal. (Here comes the geocacher...)
[metboiler]
- Running into the cache owner at the cache. (Incredible odds,
no?) [katguy]
- To see the Chicago skyline (Blowing in the wind?)
[Unk]
- ...
The cache is a mid-sized pill bottle that has
been camoflauged. There's a little room for small items, but it's
mostly a log and a pencil. The cache does start with a Costa Rican
coin and a few Lewis & Clark edition five-cent coins. The
coordinates may be slightly off due to low accuracy in readings,
but the cache location should stick out pretty well.
