Forest Hill Nature Area Gratiot county, NW corner of Rich rd. and Adams rd. Tralis are mowed with some elevation changes.
This is an area that my daughter and I visit often. Also a place that we thought others would enjoy. The cache is themed after the High Plains Drifter movie. There are red buildings, a lake, boardwalks and a high plain. The intent for this cache is not difficulty, instead to get people to this area. On that note the Forest Hills Nature Area is often populated by students, as this is an educational center. So beware, at certain times muggles dominate. The Superintendant of the Nature Area asks only that we not impact the flora or fauna. If approached by anyone at the Nature Area, don't be shy, they are all more than happy to share this facility and will provide maps and literature. *The info box at the pond overlook is often empty. I urge you to take the time to explore the area, there are some interesting items out here (especially for kids). Contents: arrowhead, shell, black stone, green ring, carabiner, patriotic bracelet, indian head penny, log book and pencil.
