Geocache Description:

Thames Path - The Bridge at Sonning

Sonning is recommended in the book 'Three Men in a Boat' by Jerome K. Jerome as 'the most fairy-like little nook on the whole river'.

Is there a spot more lovely than the rest
By art improved, by nature truly blest?
A noble river at its base running
It is a little village known as Sonning

In modern times, Sonning is now more notable for its traffic and poor parking facilities; there are no shops.

The cache is situated on the Thames Path, close to a footbridge opposite The Mill at Sonning

There is a small parking area a few hundred yards west of the cache, otherwise it's a case of on road parking somewhere in the village.  You could also try the area at the end of Sonning Lane at N51 28.326 W0 54.802, where there is permitted kerb parking for maybe a dozen vehicles.

You are looking for a screwtop specimen container, apx the same size as a 35mm film canister, containing just the log and pencil....  Please ensure the lid is screwed down tightly before replacing.

Good luck!
