Lava Camp Lake



LOCATION: west of Sisters near McKenzie Pass
ACCESS: from Sisters, 14.6 miles west on Hwy. 242

ELEVATION: 5300 feet

FACILITIES: vault toilets, NO drinking water



A small cache in the base of a mighty tree. Leave the lake behind you, find a huge fallen tree. Climb on the roots, look down the tree, turn your eyes towards 2:00 o'clock and you shall find the cache in the base of another tree, maybe 35 paces off your current vantage point. EDIT: 7/9/6 - changed feet to paces, thanks ajgray.
