**INTRODUCING** Maxwell MidKnight - the caching K9. My new black lab pup "Max" joined me for his first cache hide hike. With lots to sniff, he was quickly hooked on caching!
This kid friendly cache is located in Babcock Woods Park in SE Waverly.
This summer (2006) I had the privilege to accompany the WSR Rocky Mountain Alpine Studies trip to Crested Butte Colorado. The trip took nine days and we hiked and camped for six of those. It was a great experience because of the great students and trip leaders that I went with and the awesome surroundings. This cache honors those people and the memories of the trip.
The cache is a Coleman water jug covered in CAMO DUCT TAPE! It is hidden well, just off the trail in Babcock Woods Park. Original contents include a log book, a small plastic frog, and several kids’ toys.
Take time to enjoy the trail. In the summer, the wonderful prairie grasses that are now growing there will also dazzle visitors. To further motivate people to get to this super park, I have also placed a micro to make for two quick yet challenging finds! Check out the Babcock Woods Micro for cache number two.
