It was in Lindsey, OH where the ill fated ride took place, not Elmore, but who knows where that's at anyways. We're not good story tellers, but a little Google.com goes a long way.
You can start with: The Elmore Rider
The first set of coordinates take you to the scene of the mishap that left the motorcyclist headless. The bridge deck surface was formerly a metal grate, and was interesting...even more so on a bicycle!
Slow down a bit and admire the new bridge (fall 09). There are some supports for the guardrail that are several inches taller at the top on each side of the bridge as it crosses the water. Count those on each side of the bridge.
Take the number of tall supports on the east side of the bridge, add it to the north coordinates below. Take the number of tall supports on the west side of the bridge, add to the west coordinates below.

This should take you to half of what was a big tree in a spooky place. The container is a small screw top jar with duct tape. Take time to note many unusual stones, a large tree in the southwest corner of the area that is over 200 years old, and a marker from a man KIA in WWII.
Lindsey is not known for much, except that we see a bald eagle about every time we go near the place. On the other hand, we think that Elmore should be more famous for it's growing antiques shops, Schedel Arboretum and Gardens, or the food. Friday night perch dinners at the Village Inn, and across the road at the Portage Inn, one can have a nice taco salad on Friday lunch, or a good and cheap cheeseburger anytime. Distazio's makes a nice pizza, dill pickle is surprisingly good!
