Geocache Description:

This multi-cache is simple and is rated at 1.5/1.5 only because it is not a one-stop cache. Otherwise it should be an easy find.

This cache is placed in honor of Ed's birthday. Ed & Mary, known as MAES, have been caching since the end of 2005. It seems to have provided a great retirement past time. I hear a lot that there is nothing like the thrill of an FTF! Though this cache is not as clever as many of MAES, it is in the spirit and took a bit longer than the usual micro or ammo can. At the coordinates listed above, you will find an object which has the final coordinates and the unlock "code". You almost won't need to get out of the car here. (NOTE: Ed tells me that these cords are about 30 feet off, so we wil be checking them and may readjust - use you're geocaching knowledge and it should be easy to spot.) There is a theme to this cache, so remember that when you arrive at both the initial and final coordinates. Many of you will guess what the final cache container is easily. Act as though you belong there and that you know what you are doing and no one should think twice about you being there. If you have a hard hat, you could bring it along to look more authentic. The cache is on public right-of-way. There is no need to go into fenced areas! DO NOT enter the nearby electrical substation! The cache itself it well marked with geocaching logos. There is a related FTF prize. Also, there is an envelope for Ed. If you arrive before he does, please don't remove this envelope! Thanks! More about Ed: Ed was born and grew up in nearby Needville, TX. After completing his bachelors and masters degrees in Electrical Engineering at UT in Austin, he and Mary moved to Houston. They raised their family (me) here in Sharpstown. See the gallery for recent pictures of Ed caching. NOTE: The Rhode Island and Signal 06 geocoins are NOT in this cache. The owners have been notified, but have not removed them from the inventory.
