Geocache Description:

This is an easy park and grab along Highway 71 north of Scottsbluff Ne. The container is a 50 cal ammo box. There is general prairie terrain with cactus, prairie grass, and some gravel.

This cache should not be too hard to locate as it is right off of High Way 71 to the North of Scottsbluff Ne. There is parking in the area. I have been driving through this area for several years and thought this was one of the most awesome views in the Panhandle. To the South you can see the North Platte valley and to the North is the vast prairie that makes up Western Nebraska. In all seasons there seems to be something to see. Birds of prey can be seen riding the thermals in the area and the occasional fox and coyote may be spotted from time to time. It is also not uncommon to see antelope as well as mule deer at certain times of the year. The night sky out there is also something to behold as there are not that many lights to mute out the weaker stars. Hope you enjoy the view as much as I have over the years. Happy huntin Jaysrig
