Geocache Description:

Located only minutes from downtown Boston, the DCR Blue Hills Reservation stretches over 7,000 acres from Quincy to Dedham, Milton to Randolph, providing a green oasis in an urban environment. The Bouncing Brook makes it's descent into the Great Cedar Swamp between Kitchamakin Hill and the Southeast Ridge.

The cache is a 15oz. lock&lock box located 20ft from a small water fall. I took the Braintree Pass Path, but there are many trails that will bring you close to the area and a short bushwhack will bring you in. Paved parking can be had at two trailheads along Chickatawbut Road, and Route 28 has a few gravel lots.

WARNING ! The Blue Hills are the native habitat of two species of poisonous snakes, TIMBER RATTLERS and COPPERHEADS. Always use caution while searching and NEVER do anything that would harm these endangered animals.
