Geocache Description:

- Forgotten cache challenge -
Dodatocne waypointy? Nie su. Overovace suradnic, priatelia na telefone? Nic. Len listing na 2 riadky, sipka, vzdialenost. Vytlaceny fotohint. A tajomno. Vtedy ...
Bludim pomedzi zahradky, chodnickami, dzunglou, bude tam nieco?

Konecne mame mapu! (Este je tu) A rozsirene, prehladne info o skrysach a hladacoch, genialny skrysotlac, statistiky, chytre vyhladavanie, prehladnu diskusiu, novinky a kopu viac ci menej uzitocnych ficuriniek.
Aby ich snaha neskoncila zabudnuta - forgotten - pripomenme si ju touto challenge cache. A k tomuto sme sa vlastne chceli dostat :-) O co teda ide?

O vyzvu! .. ktora Vas, pevne dufam, zaujme. Nazvime ju "vyzva zabudnutej kesky".
Do logu pripojit dokaz o tom.
Fuha .. tazke .. poviete si. Je taka vobec?
Nuz, budete prekvapeni. Ci uz kvoli narocnemu zadaniu, alebo svojej odlahlosti. Aktualne (27.05.2013) je rekorderom Pramen zivota - Spring of the Life, ktory nikto nenasiel uz vyse 2 roky.
Asi mate k celej veci zopar vsetecnych otazok :-)
Nuz, spestruju hru. Motivuju hracov k dosiahnutiu dodatocneho, zaujimaveho, pozitivneho geo-uspechu. Ale pozor, challenge nemoze byt hocico. Viac sa pise v mudrych knizkach.
- Mozem najst "zabudnutu" kesku hocikde? A co presne je "pol roka"?
Hocikde. Na Slovensku, v Severnej Korei, aj v Tramtarii. Na pekne kesky sa zabuda vsade.
Pol roka je 6 mesiacov od posledneho Found logu. Napr. od 5.5.2013 je pol roka 5.11.2013.
- A ked som taku uz nasiel? Rataju sa aj nalezy z minulosti?
Pravdaze. Je to dokonca jednym z povinnych predpokladov challenge kesiek.
- Preco musi byt keska tych 6 mesiacov aktivna?
Lebo ked ide o bodik, keser je tvor vynachadzavy. Inak by mi to bolo jedno.
- A co ked najdeme "zabudnutu" kesku viaceri v rovnaky den?
Taky nalez sa rata celej skupine, no problem.
- Aky dokaz to mam dolozit a kam?
Do Found logu tejto kesky (GCZZTQ) je nutne pripojit odkaz na Vas log "zabudnutej" kesky.
Alebo fotku logbooku :-) Pre zaujimavost mozete uviest pocet dni v zabudnuti.
Na "Found it" ju zmenite dodatocne.
... no a napokon, otazka najpalcivejsia:
- KTO BUDE MAT FTF???
Ako je dobrym zvykom - kto chce :-) Ale. Dovolim si udelit specialne cestne putovne FTF.
A to tomu, kto dolozi svoj nalez najzabudnutejsej kesky.
Cestne putovne FTF momentalne drzi: cdrw (1907 dni v zabudnuti). Viac?
A kde je vlastne TATO keska?! Ved to uz predsa uplne presne viete.
- cache version v2.09 (16/09/2013)
V pripade faktografickych nepresnosti ma, prosim, smelo opravte. Nemam patent na nic.
- Forgotten cache challenge -
history of slovak geocaching in juicy shortcut
Cache is NOT hidden at listed coordinates. To log it as "Found", you have to meet a condition explained below.
Hi stranger! You bumped into kind of thematic cache about geocaching history in Slovakia. To make it a bit unique, I decided to publish it as a challenge cache. Challenge itself is explained in details at the bottom of this listing, but in shortcut - you have to find any other geocache, that is "forgotten". In meaning that - has not been found for more than 6 months before yourself. Got it? ... if not, scroll below.
And this is not all. To make it a bit interactive, this cache is NOT on above listed coordinates. And where it is? You'll need to read the listing carefully with linked related information. Then you'll find right source .. and exact coordinates, where you have to go and search. Don't worry, it's not that difficult like it sounds. Once you'll detect final coordinates, you'll be 100% sure where to go.
Well, this topic is surely more attractive for locals, so I'm very sorry if I will bore you with such distant stories like beginning of the game in foreign country is. But hopefuly you'll find it a bit informative, maybe interesting.
First geocaches in Slovakia appeared just one-two years after Stash #1, "published" at personal websites, later at subpage of "bike and GPS" web portal, administered by Lukic. Things started to happen in summer 2002: geocacher JoHnY registered domain geocaching.sk and designed unique form for submissions of new geocaches into the system. There are two admins of "blue web" - JoHnY and Tomco, new cachers and submissions are comming very shortly, game is starting ...
Dozens of caches were hidden during first years by more and more players. But here came a trouble ... Geocaching.sk run in parallel with official global site Geocaching.com. Owners used to publish their listings at both sites (slovak listing looks like this) - it ment double work, double databases, double logs. Usually in english on .com, and the same content in slovak on .sk. What is even worse, more and more caches were published just in one database. It started to be pretty chaotic.
Luckily (in oposite to Poles and Hungarians) we've been able to agree on solution once and forever. At beginning of 2006, new slovak geocaching website is introduced by Tomco, Igi and Bubbles.sk with new key feature - database of geocaches is periodically mirrored from geocaching.com. Finally we have finetuned map! Still can be accessed here) And extended, organized info about caches and players, brilliant tool for planning and printing called skrysotlac, statistics, smart searching, user-friendly forums, news and plenty other useful features and functionalities. (Waste majority of them does not work any longer due to restrictions on geocaching.com side.)
Thanks to cachers like Lukic, JoHnY, Bubbles.sk, Igi and many early owners is geocaching in Slovakia so popular today. May their effort won't be forgotten!
Let's call this one "forgotten cache" challenge:
Your task is simple: Go and find a cache, that has been active and not found for 6 months at least. Prove it in your Found log.
Wow ... sounds challenging! Is there any cache like that?
Well, you'd be surprised. Just in Slovakia are many "forgotten" geocaches, that are waiting for finders quite a long time. Due to complicated listing (multicaches, unknown ones, wherigos) or they are just out of reach. When I'm writing this list, cache Raba stan is a champion with more than 2 years without Found it log. I counted another 37, which are waiting more than 1 year. At least 100 meet the criteria of this challenge now - half a year without Found and active. And now imagine that feeling - to find, open and log a cache, where nobody was for such a long time. Thrilling, isn't it?
Perhaps you're going to ask me something :-)
- Wait, what are these challenges??
Challenges bring more colors to the game. They motivate people to complete some interesting, positive geocaching-related personal achievement, before they actually log a cache as "Found it". However, be carefull - not everything can be published as challenge. Find out more in Knowledge books.
- May I find "forgotten" cache anywhere? What do you mean by "6 months"?
Anywhere. In Slovakia, North Korean border, or even"out-of-space".
Example: if the last found log on 5th May 2013, found log after 6 months is on 5th Nov 2013.
- I met this requirement in the past! Does it qualify?
Yes, sure! This is a rule in the challenge cache guidelines anyway.
- The "forgotten" cache should be active during that 6 months ... why?
Only to prevent speculative actions. Rare, questionable cases will be treated individually.
- What if more people find "forgotten" cache in the same day?
It qualifies whole group / all the cachers.
- How can I prove this?
In the "Found it" log of this challenge cache (GCZZTQ) post a link to your log of the forgotten cache. Example. Or upload a picture of logbook :-) Optionally, you can calculate how many days was the cache "forgotten".
- What if I find challenge cache (GCZZTQ), but I don't meet the challenge?
Log your found as "Write note", please. You can edit it later to "Found it" once you'll achieve the challenge.
... and last, but not least:
- Who will achieve FTF???
Anyone who feels it :-) It's not important.
But. Let me award a special "FTF" to one, who will prove a visit of "most forgotten cache".
And that's it. May your cache won't be forgotten!
