Welcome to the GeoCrush, where high-tech meets high art

GeoCrush is a massive arts-themed geocaching event. Whether you've come to this event through geocaching or through Arts Crush, you are sure to find activities to challenge your mind and please your artistic sensibilities. You won't need a GPS unit (though you can definitely use one!), but you will need a sense of adventure and a willingness to immerse yourself in visual art, literature, music, theater, and dance.

About Geocaching

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community. There are currently over 1.1 million geocaches hidden worldwide.

GeoCrush Art Caches

GeoCrush contains 20 art-themed geocaches, called "Art Caches" that are spread throughout the Puget Sound area. These are not ordinary geocache containers - they're displays where you can interact with the geocaches in a thematically appropriate way. You might contribute to a poem, paint the container, or dance your way to a final location. Every cache is a unique artistic experience, so dive in and explore the world of Arts Crush!

Creating the Crush

Take a behind the scenes look at the Art Cache construction process. You'll see and hear how the worlds of geocaching and Arts Crush are combining into a new, interactive experience.
