Welcome Developers!
Groundspeak offers the Geocaching Live API to developers with an interest in creating next-generation geocaching applications for web, mobile or desktop environments.
Since first releasing in 2011, the API has been rapidly embraced worldwide. Our community of creative developers has created mobile applications for Android, Blackberry, iOS, Symbian OS, and Windows Mobile as well as for web and desktop platforms. Before you request an API Enrollment Form application:
- Have your Geocaching.com username handy
- Log in to the discussion forum at least once (this is necessary to later gain access to the API developers' topic)
The Geocaching.com Live API uses OAuth. We provide our API partners with a private forum to seek assistance and share ideas, however we do not provide OAuth training. It is best to be familiar with OAuth prior to using the API.
For access to the API, please submit a formal request (following the instructions outlined in the API License Agreement) along with your Geocaching.com username to APIEnrollment@groundspeak.com.
