Found benchmark as described with the following change: Georgia State Route 50 is now Georgia State Route 520 and is also known as the Downing Muscgrove Causeway.
The mark is in questionable condition and the designation stamping is barely legible.

THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 13 KM (8 MI) SOUTHEAST OF BRUNSWICK, 1.84 KM (1.15 MI) WEST OF THE WEST END OF THE BRIDGE OVER JEKYLL CREEK, ALONG THE CAUSEWAY CONNECTING JEKYLL ISLAND WITH THE MAINLAND, ON THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF STATE HIGHWAY 50, AT THE MARSH EDGE. OWNERSHIP--STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAYS 17 AND 84, AND STATE HIGHWAY 50 (ABOUT 6.5 KM (4 MI) SOUTH OF BRUNSWICK, GO EAST FOR 6.86 KM (4.25 MI) ON HIGHWAY 50 TO THE WELCOME CENTER AND HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICE ON THE LEFT. Control Text
- The horizontal coordinates were established by GPS observations and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in September 1997.
- The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
- The X, Y, and Z were computed from the position and the ellipsoidal ht.
- The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
- The ellipsoidal height was determined by GPS observations and is referenced to NAD 83.
- The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
- The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
- The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
