Sure, the iPhone does lots of other things, and some folks assume that means it doesn't do GPS as good as a dedicated device.
To that I say "pish-posh". I've never experienced problems on my iPhone that wouldn't affect other devices (trees, clouds, etc.)
Until you've tried the fantastic Groundspeak app, you won't believe me when I say, "You'll never need anything else."
One concession: If you tend to do a ton of rural caching, and want to attach an external antenna, you might want to consider another device. But for everyone else, iPhone, baby!
